We build all our street rod radiators and classic car radiators at our facility in San Luis Obispo, CA. Each build is drawn up with the car's builder or the car's owner before the radiator assembly ever begins. We only work in copper and brass and although most of our new street rod radiators receive a finishing coat of flat black paint, many rodder's come to us looking for something special in materials or design. If your shopping for an old school rat rod or a show-quality reproduction we have a radiator for you. Whether in black polished brass, German Silver or Nickle plated radiator we can construct a radiator for your budget and build. Tab 2T-Bucket Radiators
The Brassworks has roots in polished era brass radiators. Our most common polished Street Rod radiator is the classic T Bucket but we will happily polish any hot rod radiator to a show-quality luster that will dazzle and delight the judges and spectators. Visit the Radiator Parts page for brass polishes, motometers, overflow tanks and many more accessories. Tab 3German Silver Street Rod Radiators
German Silver has a color resembling silver-white. It is comprised of an alloy consisting primarily of copper, nickel and zinc. It is a hard and tough metal, but still malleable. When polished to full brilliance, it is guaranteed to stop the traffic at any car show. Sure we use it for a Rolls Royce or Bugatti but we find it looks nice in a 1932 Ford too. Visit the Radiator Parts page for brass polishes, motometers, overflow tanks and many more accessories. Tab 4Nickle Plated Radiators
Occasionally, the Brassworks gets a request for a color not quite silver, not quite chrome and certainly not polished aluminum. They are often looking for a nickel plated radiator. We can build the radiator to your specifications and will arrange for nickel plating from a qualified plating company. Please allow time for this process as we do not keep this unique product in stock. Visit the Radiator Parts page for brass polishes. Tab 5SPAL Fans
A mechanical fan will turn approximately the same RPMs as your engine. At 6000 RPM thats only 600 cfm, An electric fan at idle turns ten times that speed at around 2,400 cfm. Your mechanical fan will be turning all the time - even at highway speeds when you do not need it. A electric fan in sync with your thermostat gives you the cool you need and the quiet you want. Tight on space? Don't worry, we have SPAL pusher and puller fans as narrow as 2.05" and a full variety of circumference and depths to accommodate your particular space needs.
