Read and understand your warranty before installing or modifying your radiator

Do not leave your radiator in the box; remove and inspect it, install it, flush fluids through the radiator and polish brass as needed. Radiators are constructed with solder and flux, a mildly corrosive acid. Each radiator is pressure tested in a test tank to assure there are no leaks and neutralize any flux used in the assembly. Leaving a radiator in a sealed box for a prolonged time may result in oxidation. Oxidation will cause polished brass radiator to turn a light orange hue and in extreme cases may “etch” the metal. This can be avoided by circulating fluids in the radiator and in the case of polished brass radiators, polishing the metal.

We recommend the use of distilled water to prevent premature mineral build-up in engines and radiators. Our customers often use a combination of 50/50 distilled water and ethyl glycol and report success. We are unaware of any long-term consequence to this common coolant.

The Brassworks produces handcrafted reproduction radiators based upon original radiator specifications. Every radiator is inspected and tested before shipping. Please inspect your radiator upon receipt as your vehicle parts may not be original and this may affect fitment. Take care to not damage the radiator when inspecting. If you are confident in the quality of the product and compare the fit to your existing radiator before you proceed with installation. Reproduction radiators which have been installed and show evidence of having been used are NOT eligible for a refund.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with our product or perceive a difference in the construction then STOP and contact us immediately. We will NOT ACCEPT ANY reproduction radiator for return which has been installed, run or modified. The radiator MUST be in a new, saleable and unaltered condition.

Return freight and insurance costs are the responsibility of the customer and all returns must be received with a copy of the receipt. Refunds are based upon the price charged and do not include freight.

The Brassworks warrants all radiators to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the purchase date. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to work performed by The Brassworks. During the Warranty period, The Brassworks will at its discretion repair or replace at no charge any and all components that prove defective.

Radiators must be returned with proof of purchase, shipping and insurance prepaid to our facility. The Warranty does not apply if the radiator has been altered or damaged by accident or misuse. Return freight costs will be reimbursed for valid claims under warranty.

Our material and workmanship does not apply to any used, original, reproduction or NOS parts supplied to The Brassworks for purposes of restoration. Our warranty does not apply to “fit” issues caused by aftermarket products e.g. shells, frames, etc.
