1930-1931 Model A Steel Fan shroud

Ford used a stamped steel fan shroud with the first Model As but elected to abandon the part in November 1928 and inventory was worked through by February - March 1929.  Radiators manufactured at the Ford plant would have the fan shroud but Long, Flintlock and McCord produced radiators were added in July of 1929 later years and are less likely to have installed the shroud.

A 1930 or 1931 Model A would not normally have a fan shroud however conventional wisdom holds that at speeds less than ~38mph, a hand formed steel fan shroud is your best friend.

Notes about 1930-1931 fan shrouds;

1. Ford placed a return flange on the sidewall.  For the shrouds on OE radiator, we notch a relief so the fan sits flush to the core. 
2. Ford also tack soldered the tube to the flange.  In OEM radiators, the overflow tube should be de-soldered and placed inside the shroud.
3. We produce a fan shroud for the OEM radiators and for Brassworks manufactured radiators.  We do not know all the requirements of other aftermarket radiators.

The opening is 2" deep at the top and 1-1/4" deep at the bottom.  If your dimensions differ due to the fan diameter, engine, engine mounting or a frame modification please provide the information.
