We see this Perfex core used most commonly on the Hart Parr Tractors but you may find it on a Eagle, Heider, Cockshutt, Oliver Case Tractor radiator as well. Originally a film core characterized by stacked round pattern delineated by vertical strips we have replicated this look for the restorers.
The history
F. M. Opitz patented his film style radiator and transferred it to the Perfex company which had established business in Chicago in 1910 before relocating to Racine, WI on the 12th of October, 1912. A. B. Modine was actively involved in research, testing, and design of radiators and a principle partner in Perfex Radiator before acquiring the company. Following a business disagreement with a silent partner at Perfex over how that company should be managed and capitalized, Modine decided to establish his own company.
